The Grand Hotel Wien celebrates four toques

The restaurants of the Grand Hotel Wien, Le Ciel and Unkai, were ranked among best restaurants in Austria by the famous gourmet guide Gault Millau. The culinary figureheads of the Hotel were each awarded with two toques.

The Unkai with chef Hiroshi Sakai with 15 points and two toques confirms its position as the best and most authentic Japanese restaurant in Austria. "Unkai" means "sea of clouds": The name refers to the location on the 7th floor of the Grand Hotel Wien with an wonderful view over the roofs of the inner city. Head chef Hiroshi Sakai offers sushi, sashimi and traditional Japanese dishes like the fantastic Kaiseki menu in their highest perfection and turned the restaurant into a hotspot for friends of Asian cuisine.
