Kurier ROMY Gala 2020 - the Grand Hotel Wien is proud hotel partner!

Due to the measures taken by the federal government and existing uncertainty about the further duration of the current situation regarding Covid-19, the KURIER management and marketing management after careful consideration with the media partner ORF decided to cancel the KURIER ROMY Gala on April 18^th, 2020. The planned Academy Award Ceremony on April 16^th, 2020 will be cancelled as well.

On April 18^th Austrias longest red carpet will be rolled out on the occasion of the annual 31^st Kurier ROMY Gala at the Wiener Hofburg. 30 of our television- and filmstars have been nominated for Austrians most desired and prestigious movie award. Seven of the elected artists will receive the highly regarded trophy - elected by the audience.

The Grand Hotel Wien is honored to be the exclusive hotel partner of this years's event hosted by Kurier.

Until the festive award ceremony on April 18^th takes place, the golden, pompous statue can be viewed and admired in the lobby of the Grand Hotel. Apropos the trophy owes its name to the glorious film diva Romy Schneider, who will have her 38^th anniversary of death this year.
